David Kinchen is Black & Veatch’s member representative on the Water Design-Build Council Board of Directors. As president, he oversees all work of the organization and chairs the Executive Committee. He also participates in the work of the Technical Practices, Education and Research Committees.
As an Associate Vice President and Director for Black & Veatch Water, located in Atlanta, GA., David currently manages the development and business oversight of the alternative delivery projects and expanded scope opportunities in North America and the Caribbean. He is responsible for business development, management oversight of strategic team relationships, proposal strategy development, conceptual design development review, sustainable design strategy and evaluation, oversight of design management, design-build execution oversight, and operational support. His professional assignments have included integrated delivery, design-build, hard bid and cost plus projects in the municipal water and wastewater, federal, heavy civil, heavy industrial, commercial, institutional, and transportation areas of construction
David holds a BS from Auburn University, and studied at the Oxford University, London School of Business, and Advanced Studies in Business, RETP Civil Engineering Georgia Tech.
