Bob Wimmer, PE

Bob Wimmer is a licensed professional engineer with more than 18 years of experience in the wastewater sector who leads the technical development of wastewater projects for ESG. He is a nationally recognized expert in wastewater treatment plant process design and operation as well as the co-digestion of food waste and its impact on the treatment process, having presented at local and national conferences on co-digestion, dewatering, and numerous other topics related to wastewater treatment plant optimization and energy reduction. Bob is a former vice chair and chair of the Water Environment Federation (WEF) Student and Young Professional Committee and has previously served as treasurer of the Chesapeake Water Environment Association (CWEA).

Bob holds a BS in dairy science and a MS in environmental engineering from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University.
