During his time at Ferguson, he has been recognized for his ability to grow their plant presence and develop a training module that estimators can use to understand the biological and chemical processes and flows that make up a plant.
Before joining Ferguson, Gordon was president of C&V Utilities where he was responsible for managing multi-million-dollar water and wastewater treatment plant projects in VA and NC.
In total, Gordon has over 37 years of experience in the construction industry. He brings a wealth of knowledge to the collaborative design-build industry and he understands the industry from the construction line up to management. Gordon began his career in his home country, England, working on a construction crew building utility and ocean projects.
With his experience working in water and wastewater plants at all levels, he can offer insights and value engineering that helps owners and engineers achieve their goals, such as meeting permitting targets, staying within budget, and navigating process design changes. Gordon is one of the many pioneers of the collaborative design-build mindsets even before the term was part of the industry’s lexicon.
Most recently, Gordon was awarded the 2020 Distinguished Leadership Award in the industry professional category by the leadership of the Design-Build Institute of America (DBIA).
